MAGIC WAND ART STUDIO FAQ
1. What services do you offer?
Face painting, body art (arm/hand/cheek/shoulder designs), and balloon twisting (animals, flowers, swords, and magic wands).
Great for kids' parties, teen events, and adult/corporate celebrations.
2. Are your designs hand-painted or stencils?
All designs are hand-painted and created freehand. I focus on custom, artistic painting rather than simple printed stencils.
Hand-painted designs may take a little longer than stencils, but they're typically more detailed and photo-friendly.
3. How do we book?
DM me with: date/time, city, approximate guest count + ages, and what services you want (paint/balloons/both). I'll reply with package options.
4. Where do you serve? (Travel Fee)
I serve the entire Bay Area. Locations within 30 minutes of San Jose are included.
For locations beyond 30 minutes, a travel fee applies: $15 minimum + $1 per additional mile (based on distance).
5. Do you require a deposit?
Yes. A deposit is required to reserve your date and time.
6. What is your cancellation/reschedule policy?
Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
If you cancel or request to reschedule for any reason, the deposit will be retained.
7. How long does each guest take?
Most designs take 3-6 minutes depending on size and detail.
8. How many guests can you paint in one hour?
It depends on design complexity.
As a general guide: 10-15 guests per hour for quick, event-friendly designs.
9. What do you need from the host/venue?
A small space (about 6' x 6'), two chairs, and shade/cover if outdoors. I bring my own kit and setup.
10. Do you paint indoors or outdoors?
Both! Outdoors is great with shade. If it's very hot, windy, smoky, or raining, we may move indoors for safety and paint quality.
11. Do you use skin-safe products?
Yes. I use professional, skin-safe face/body paint and follow clean, guest-friendly practices.
12. What if someone has sensitive skin or allergies?
Please tell me in advance. We can do a small patch test, skip certain areas, or choose balloons only. If there's a known allergy, I may recommend skipping paint for safety.
13. How do I remove the paint?
Most face & body paint washes off fully with warm water and gentle soap.
Tips: use a soft cloth and wash gently (no scrubbing). For darker colors or glitter, you may need a second wash. If any residue remains, a small amount of makeup remover / cleansing oil / baby oil can help—then wash again with soap and water.
14. How does balloon twisting work?
Guests can choose from a simple menu (animals, flowers, swords, and magic wands). I'll manage the line to keep it smooth and fair.
15. Is this only for kids?
Not at all! I create fun, photo-friendly designs for all ages—kids, teens, and adults.
For corporate events, we can do festival-style designs, brand colors, or themed menus.
16. Can adults get painted too?
Yes—absolutely. Adults are welcome! We can keep designs subtle and elegant or bold and festival-style, depending on your event vibe.
17. Can you do corporate/community events?
Yes! I support corporate parties, brand activations, store events, festivals, community fairs, school events, and more.
Happy to share a portfolio and work with your theme, timeline, and venue requirements.
18. Can you match our brand/theme (logos/colors)?
Yes! I can create a custom design menu to match your event theme and brand colors (and simple logo-inspired elements).
For best results, please send your brand colors/theme reference at least 3-5 days before the event.
Custom menus may require an additional design fee depending on complexity.
19. Photos & content during the event
I may take a few photos/videos of the artwork during the event for my portfolio and social media. I always keep it respectful and guest-friendly.
If you prefer not to be photographed or posted, please let me know in advance—I'm happy to accommodate.
20. Do you accept tips?
Tips are never required, but always appreciated. If you'd like to tip, you can tip in cash or via Venmo/Zelle (details available upon request). Thank you for supporting small businesses! ✨
